I took one of the first gay cruise in 1987 and was a blast. 700 men in a boat. The gay travel industry has matured a lot since then, with many other options. You need a friend or partner to accompany you, if you do not want to be associated with a cabin mate, who do not know. We had good conversation, good food, a great mix of guys and hot all day. Some objectives were not used to the idea of a boat full of gay men at the time: the Cayman Islands, we were initially not allowed to go ashore for fear of AIDS, but do not spoil the fun. All these issues have been resolved. Definitely recommend it.
